You are invited to come watch and talk with Amateur "Ham" Radio Operators during their annual Field Day event that demonstrates how communications would be established following a disaster. The Marin Amateur Radio Society (in conjunction with the Redwood Empire DX Association) is hosting a friendly Field Day at the Marin Rod and Gun Club.

The public is welcome to come and see what an emergency drill mixed with a contest looks like, learn more about ham radio from talking with the operators, and even possibly speak with other stations.

Several Amateur Radio stations will be set up in tents or vehicles -- communicating with other stations around the USA in a contest. You can try it out -- talk on-the-air too! The stations will be operating on emergency power as a test of our preparedness to provide communications in emergencies.

The Marin Amateur Radio Society Field Day event will be at:

The Marin Rod and Gun Club
2675 Francisco Blvd E, San Rafael, CA 94901
